In anticipation of the 2020 Presidential Election, this is an important time to reflect on the current state of our nation, to better understand our constitutional rights, and take responsibility for our future as active members of society by participating in the voting process. Commissioned by the Pennsylvania Humanities Council in 1975 for the nation’s bicentennial celebration, this series of twelve lithographic portraits by Leonard Baskin documents the key members involved with the Constitutional Convention of 1787, including Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, George Mason, Benjamin Franklin and others, who developed the framework for the Constitution of the United States.
