Featuring works from the Civil War to present day, this exhibition honors artists who are veterans of the United States Military. Embedded in the front lines as soldiers, war correspondents and engineers, they faced combat while using their skills to document battles, develop camouflage, create maps for intelligence and build memorials for victories. This exhibition explores the important role that artists play in the military and how their experiences drive their creative journeys as professional artists and survivors of war.
