Adult Programs

The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is proud to offer many different programs for our adult members and visitors throughout the year. Explore some of our options below!

ABC (Art, Books, and Community) Reading Club
Selected last Mondays at 11:30 a.m.
ABC members meet at the museum every other month for lively discussions about books that expand their knowledge of 20th and 21st century art. Palm Harbor Library Director Gene Coppola facilitates the meetings, LRMA provides refreshments, and new members are always welcome. Free with museum admission. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this program has gone virtual.

Art Classes and Workshops
LRMA offers a number of hands-on, studio-based, and art appreciation classes and workshops for adults. Designed for artists of all skill levels, and lifelong learners, these classes offer the opportunity to work with new mediums, learn new techniques, and gain new perspectives on creating and appreciating art. Fees apply. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this program has gone virtual.

Cultural Trips
LRMA staff members occasionally coordinate and host trips to museums, galleries, and other cultural sites throughout Florida and the United States; these cultural travel opportunities are open to LRMA members only. Fees apply.

Focus Friday
Selected first Fridays at noon in the Made in Florida Gallery
Some of the museum’s many new or seldom-seen acquisitions and donations are unveiled and discussed during this delightful program held monthly between February–May and September–November. LRMA’s experienced docents research and present the featured artwork for each program. Free with museum admission. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this program has gone virtual.

Gallery Talks and Lectures
The museum complements its special exhibitions throughout the year with informative gallery talks and lectures by artists, curators, and art historians. Free with museum admission. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this program has gone virtual.

Tours
Every Sunday, the museum offers a docent-led tour of the galleries at 2:00 p.m. included with regular admission. On other days, community groups are invited to schedule guided tours at a cost of $10 for adults and $8 for seniors 62 and older.
A list of nearby restaurants is available upon request. During the COVID-19 pandemic, docent tours have been temporarily suspended.
