SUIT (Some Unnamed Improv Team) was founded late last year to fill the void that too many improv teams were aptly named something “clever”. Oh, and they also liked playing goofy games together and singing Irish Drinking Songs. The troupe consists of:
Francesco Sclafani: Talented improvisor, lead MC, professional musician, and fan of the Oxford comma. Some say this Italian maestro’s talents are wasted on playing Hoe Downs at the end of shows…we say they are probably right. In addition to being the snazziest dresser on stage with amazing shoes, Frankie delights crowds with his unique style of improv and physicality. One day, he hopes to be tall enough to ride the roller coasters at theme parks.
Austin Daniels: From snazzy dresser, to “guy who gets dressed in the dark”, Austin is one of those weirdos who wears beanies during the summer for some reason. That said, he brings his own brand of humor to the team, whether it’s capping off a scene with an outrageous one-liner or pulling out some bizarre pop culture reference. Be prepared for some self deprecating humor as indicated when he wrote all of these bios.
David Morelli: Teacher. Consultant. Professional. All of which describe David, but have little to do with his improv skills. David has been performing improv for years all throughout the country, but has somehow settled on joining SUIT. His most notable talents include his amazing character work which always bring a fresh sense of humor in all his scenes. If you’re wondering which one he is, you can’t miss him: I believe he’s 9 feet tall give or take.
Jess King: As her namesake would indicate, Jess may be the royalty of SUIT, but she isn’t your grandfather’s princess (that’s a phrase, right?). Jess has been performing regularly in Tampa Bay for years, with audiences always on her side. Her fiery sense of humor and clever use of puns make her a delightful entertainer in every game she’s in. She’s also the biggest roaster on the squad.
Spencer Cross: He’s some guy. In addition to being some guy, Spencer has been performing and teaching improv for years and is the founder of the team. His quick wit and diverse skills in the art form bring all of his scenes to life. If you’re lucky, he might even bust out a song or two in the show. And while sometimes he wears sandals with his socks and non prescription glasses, there is no question that Spencer’s improv skills are limitless.
Be prepared for a day of laughs as SUIT gets tested on a variety of games, with suggestions coming from you, the audience!
