A Legacy of Her Own: Women of the Gulf Coast

August 9 – December 7, 2025
Lothar and Mildred Uhl Works on Paper Gallery

A selection of rarely seen works by six women artists spans five decades of collecting from the Gulf Coast Museum of Art Collection. From the museum’s early years as the Florida Gulf Coast Art Center in the 1950s to being a premier contemporary art museum based in Largo in the 2000s, A Legacy of Her Own showcases a variety of mediums including a mid-century drawing by Isabel Bishop, experimental mixed media by Ethelyn Hurd Woodlock from the 1970s and contemporary photography by Barbara Beeler, Victoria Hirt, Virginia Beth Shields, and Anna Tomczak.
