BRUCE MARSH: Terra Incognita

August 24 – December 8, 2024
Interactive Gallery

Known for his naturalistic style and abiding interest in the Florida landscape, Bruce Marsh is fascinated with the sky, and the light and shadow that animate the Tampa Bay area. Marsh helped shape the Fine Arts department at SPJC in the 1960s and the University of South Florida, where he retired as Professor Emeritus in 2003. In recent years, Marsh has been devoted to large paintings for public spaces including a series of complex paintings of groups in ordinary situations and places from his Florida suburban surroundings.
