A Letter to Our Community
Dear LRMA Community,
I am so excited to welcome you all back to the Museum. During these times of COVID, we have held as our first priority the health and safety of our staff. Our small but mighty team gave of themselves daily for the Museum and for our community, and I cannot thank them enough. Every person has contributed their utmost and has helped us to begin the re-imagining of the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art. Please join me in thanking the LRMA team and celebrating their work. Reopening the museum has raised complex issues, and we have approached this work with the utmost caution and careful preparation to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, visitors, and volunteers.
Alongside the challenges posed by COVID-19, we know that our country faces urgent issues related to racial equity and justice. As part of our mission to serve and reflect our community, we are excited to offer a diverse programming and exhibition schedule that allows us to educate, enlighten, and bring together members of our community in new and exciting ways. We are committed to addressing these issues head-on at LRMA, and recognize that it will take time, focus, and sustained effort to achieve lasting and transformative change.
We would not have made it here without the partnership and support of our staff, volunteers, board, and generous donors. Your dedication to the museum has enabled us to stand strong and emerge ready to serve you once again. We hope you will continue with us as we navigate these uncertain times and evolve in the ever-changing environment. I encourage you to renew your memberships, rejoin, purchase a membership for a friend, or donate today to help us continue forward.
In closing, we remain committed to our mission as an educational arts institution dedicated to increasing access to the arts for all. Whether you choose to visit us in person or continue to enjoy our new website and expanding digital experiences and programs, I look forward to seeing you soon.
